About Us

SUKIS was founded by Suraj Kiran and curated by Shreya Aparna—a passionate, creative couple with deep roots in theatre and storytelling. Their artistic background shapes the essence of SUKIS, where every textile is treated not just as a product, but as a narrative woven with culture, craftsmanship, and heritage.

At SUKIS, we are committed to curating exquisite traditional textiles that celebrate the rich cultural legacy of India. Established in 2025 in Bengaluru, our mission is to bring authentic craftsmanship to the forefront through timeless, meaningful designs. Our flagship creations—such as the elegant Ilkal Saree and the luxurious Mysore Silk Crepe—perfectly embody this philosophy. These textiles blend the artistic influences of Mysore and North Karnataka, making them ideal for festive celebrations, cultural events, and formal occasions.

We believe textiles are more than fabric; they are living expressions of history, artistry, and identity. To honor this belief, we source our collection with utmost care, ensuring that every piece reflects the skill of artisans who have mastered their craft over generations. More than 70% of our textiles are handmade, giving each creation a distinct character and a story that machine-made products simply cannot replicate.

Sustainability and ethical practices form the foundation of our work. By collaborating closely with local artisans and weaving communities, we help preserve traditional techniques while supporting their livelihoods. When you choose SUKIS, you not only elevate your wardrobe with refined, culturally rooted textiles—you also become part of a movement that values heritage, sustainability, and responsible consumption.

Every textile in our collection is thoughtfully selected to honour authentic craftsmanship and timeless Indian (Bharatiya) traditions.

We invite you to explore our offerings and experience the elegance, heritage, and artistry that SUKIS proudly represents. Together, let’s celebrate the beauty of traditional textiles and the artisans who bring them to life.
